Почему не испанский...?

2022-09-10. Robert Parker:

It's difficult for me to tell. In picture 2 the bird looks very much like the picture of a female Saxaul Sparrow. The female Spanish Sparrow in my book has a white supercilium, not black.
Мне трудно сказать. На фото 2 птица очень похожа на самку саксаульного воробья. У самки испанского воробья в моей книге надбровье белое, а не черное.

Actually, now I'm thinking they are female Indian Sparrows?

Перенесла на определение.

2022-09-13. Robert Parker:

At least one of them has black on the throat. The only species in my book that fits that is Saxaul according to my book.
По крайней мере, у одного из них есть черное на горле. Единственный вид в моей книге, который соответствует этому, - это саксаул, согласно моей книге.

Black on the throat may be found in young male House Sparrows or Indian Sparrows or birds with fresh plumage. Here is an example. In the 2nd photo, dark spots on the chest are visible. On the 3rd photo you can see the buff gray top of the head, and the sides of the head are brown. This is typical for the color of the male House or Indian Sparrows, but not the Saxaul and not the Spanish. The females in these photos have too thick dark streaks on their backs for a Saxaul Sparrow. In my opinion, this is the House Sparrow. Could it be Indian Sparrow - I don't know.

Ok I will move it to House.
