Here is another year of active search, recognition and photographing of birds for the members of our site. 2019 has brought us many interesting meetings with both birds and each other. During the last year our participants managed to record 322 species of birds, which became a record value in the whole history of the site !!! In 2019, we were pleased with 71 of our photos, which is also a new record for the site.The winners of the Big Year 2019 contest were:I place - Pylypyuk Konstantin and 234 photographed bird species per yearII place - Evgeny Chernolev and 233 photographed views for the yearIII place - Komarovsky Dmitry and 225 photographed view for the year.Sincere congratulations to the winners and wishes for new achievements and pleasant experiences from bird watching and communication with each other !!!Not to be pleased, the fact that this year the number of participants who were able to photograph more than 200 species has not decreased and equals 7 this year !!! It has already become a good tradition for me on January 1, every year, when most people leave for a good New Year's Eve to go to the first bird watching in the new year. This year, like last year, I was in Zhytomyr, so I decided to drive around. Since I was already in most directions, except the northern one, I decided to take a drive in the direction of Korosten. The company was made by my wife and Oleg Martun.In the city, as usual, in the morning one could easily see rooks, shovels of pigeons. At the departure of the city alone sat a gray magpie. As they were leaving the city, it seemed that the birds also had a good game for the new year and did not rush to show. A little while later, they saw the first buzzard sitting on a tree and reluctantly took off when he noticed our interest in it. Also in the fields, and not only, the hooks were constantly spinning.
